Senior UX Designer / Content Creator

Location: Boston, MA / Remote Hybrid
Commitment: Part-time (1-year equity role, transition to salaried after 1 year)

We’re looking for a UX Designer to help bring multiple web and mobile app concepts to life. If you love designing intuitive, engaging products, and are happy to be featured discussing your work in podcasts, videos, and live streams, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Design UI/UX for multiple web and mobile apps across diverse industries (civic tech, social, AI)
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterate designs based on feedback
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and content producers to align designs with product goals

- Participate in on-camera content (interviews, behind-the-scenes, design discussions) as part of RocketBean’s storytelling initiatives
- Help develop and maintain design systems and style guides for each product

Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years experience designing web and mobile applications
- Proficiency in Figma (and/or similar prototyping tools)
- Strong portfolio showing UX design process from research to high-fidelity UI
- Ability to balance multiple projects and manage shifting priorities
- Knowledge of UX research methods, usability testing, and accessibility best practices
- Comfortable collaborating in a build-in-public, content-driven environment
